2027 Nissan Z

If the 2027 Nissan Z Looks Familiar, That's Exactly the Point

Some automotive throwbacks are obvious. The 2027 Nissan Z takes a more interesting approach. For its latest updates, Nissan went digging through more than five decades of Z history and brought back details that longtime enthusiasts might recognize before they can quite place them. The redesigned grille recalls the original Datsun 240Z. New wheels look back to the 1980s 300ZX. There's even a new green-and-tan color combination that wouldn't feel out of place several generations ago. The 2027 Nissan Z is expected to arrive in summer 2026, and while we wait for it here at Loughead Nissan, you can explore our New Nissan Inventory and current Nissan Z inventory to see where more than 50 years of sports-car history has brought us so far. Look at the Original 240Z, Then Look at That Grille The face of the 2027 Z has changed, but Nissan didn't have to look very far for inspiration. A new horizontal bar divides the front grille, creating a split design inspired by the original 240Z, known internally as the S30. Nissan managed to make the visual change while maintaining the cooling requirements of the current Z, giving the sports car a stronger connection to its earliest predecessor without compromising modern functionality. There's another small historical detail sitting right above it. A Z emblem now replaces the Nissan emblem, following a tradition seen on the S30, S130, Z31, and Z32 generations. Those who know their Z history will probably spot it immediately. Everyone else just gets a very good-looking front end. The New Wheels Go Back to the '80s The 1980s get their turn on the 2027 Z Performance. New 19-inch RAYS® alloy wheels feature a ten-spoke, star-like arrangement inspired by the machined wheels available on the Z31-generation 300ZX during the mid-1980s. Nissan didn't simply reproduce an old wheel, either. The thinner spokes give the design a contemporary look while revealing the Z Performance's large brake rotors and red calipers behind them. The wheels come wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza® S007 high-performance tires, with the rear wheels measuring half an inch wider than the fronts for additional grip. Shinkai Green Goes All the Way Back to the First Z This might be our favorite callback. The 2027 Nissan Z introduces Shinkai Green Pearl Metallic, a rich new exterior color reminiscent of Grand Prix Green offered on the first-generation S30. "Shinkai" translates to "deep sea" in Japanese, which gives you a pretty good idea of the depth Nissan was after. Creating it was more complicated than choosing an old paint swatch. Because green automotive paints can be susceptible to fading from prolonged sun exposure, Nissan engineers combined ultra-fine yellow and blue pigments that visually create green while offering greater resistance to fading. A subtle metallic flake adds depth and helps emphasize the Z's body lines. Shinkai Green will be available on Sport and Performance grades. Yes, You Can Pair the Green with a Tan Interior Nissan went one step further. Z Performance models will offer a new tan interior, another deliberate reference to the color palettes found in the original S30 generation. Pair it with Shinkai Green Pearl Metallic and you get one of the most classically sports-car combinations imaginable: deep green paint over a tan cabin. The tan interior contrasts with black materials across the upper dashboard and doors and can also be paired with Black Diamond Pearl, Bayside Blue Quad Coat, Pearl White TriCoat, and Solid Red. For drivers who love vintage Z cars but still want everything that comes with buying a modern one, this may be one of the most compelling combinations in the 2027 lineup. Even Starting the Car Comes with a Little Z History One of the smallest 2027 changes might get the biggest reaction from serious Z fans. Start a 2027 Z Sport or Performance and its standard digital meter display now runs through an animation featuring previous generations of the Nissan Z. It's essentially a tiny retrospective every time you start the car, acknowledging the models that led to the one you're sitting in. NISMO models retain their own unique startup animation. It's an unnecessary detail in the best possible way. Nobody needs a sports car to show them its family tree before they drive away, but the people who care about that family tree are exactly the people Nissan designed it for. The 2027 Nissan Z Still Has Some New Tricks Nissan hasn't spent all its time looking backward. The 2027 Z also brings meaningful performance updates, including larger-diameter shock absorbers on Performance models. Perhaps most exciting for driving enthusiasts, the Z NISMO gains a manual transmission option for 2027. Taken together, the changes show what Nissan seems to understand particularly well about this car. The Z doesn't need to abandon its past to move forward. Its history is part of the reason people care about it in the first place. Follow the 2027 Nissan Z with Loughead Nissan The new model is expected to arrive in summer 2026. 2027 Nissan Frontier Sport Edition

The 2027 Nissan Frontier Sport Edition Keeps the Truck Formula Refreshingly Simple

A lot of new trucks are getting bigger, softer, more expensive, and more complicated. The 2027 Nissan Frontier Sport Edition goes in the other direction. It takes the Frontier’s familiar midsize truck foundation, adds a tougher look, brings all-terrain tires to the popular SV grade, and keeps the naturally aspirated V6 that many truck buyers still appreciate. DPCars described the Sport Edition as a truck that leans into “old school pickup character,” and that feels like the right read. This is not a truck for someone who wants every luxury feature in the catalog. It is for the driver who wants a straightforward midsize pickup with enough attitude, capability, and personality to feel special without going all the way to the PRO-4X. At Loughead Nissan in Swarthmore, PA, the 2027 Nissan Frontier Sport Edition gives local truck shoppers a new reason to look closely at the Frontier lineup. Why the 2027 Nissan Frontier Sport Edition Hits a Sweet Spot The Frontier Sport Edition is positioned between the popular SV grade and the more off-road-focused PRO-4X. Plenty of truck shoppers want something tougher than a basic street-oriented pickup, but they may not need the locking rear differential, upgraded suspension, or full off-road package that comes with a PRO-4X. The Sport Edition gives them a more aggressive stance, trail-ready details, and a stronger visual identity while keeping the Frontier’s everyday usefulness intact. DPCars made a similar point, noting that Nissan seems to be targeting drivers who want a tougher-looking truck without stepping all the way up to the highest off-road package. The Sport Edition Looks Different Without Trying Too Hard Some appearance packages feel like stickers and wishful thinking. Nissan adds black off-road-style 17-inch wheels, 265/70R17 Hankook Dynapro all-terrain tires, an aluminum skid plate, LED fog lights, front accent lighting, black exterior details, and Sport badging. The yellow accents inside and out give the truck a little more personality without making it feel like a costume. That matters because truck owners notice details. They notice the wheels. They notice the stance. They notice whether the interior feels like someone bothered to make it different. The Old-School V6 Is Still Part of the Appeal One of the most interesting things about the Frontier is what Nissan did not change. The 2027 Nissan Frontier continues with a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter V6 engine rated at 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque. In a market full of downsized engines, turbochargers, and hybrid systems, that straightforward V6 setup has become part of the Frontier’s identity. DPCars called this out directly, describing the Frontier as “refreshingly simple” at a time when many trucks are becoming increasingly complicated. For truck buyers who like predictable power, familiar response, and fewer layers between the pedal and the engine, that simplicity is not outdated. It is part of the point. All-Terrain Tires Give the SV Grade More Personality The all-terrain tires may end up being one of the Sport Edition’s most useful upgrades. Nissan is bringing 265/70R17 Hankook Dynapro all-terrain tires to the SV-based Sport Edition, giving drivers more confidence for campsites, job sites, muddy access roads, trailheads, and light off-road use. That does not turn the Sport Edition into a PRO-4X replacement, and it does not need to. It gives drivers a better starting point. For someone who wants to use their truck for work during the week and hobbies on the weekend, that kind of factory-equipped tire upgrade is easier to appreciate than another screen or badge. The 2027 Frontier Sport Edition Still Has Real Truck Usefulness The Sport Edition is not just about looks. The 2027 Nissan Frontier offers a towing rating of up to 7,150 pounds when properly equipped, along with a payload capacity of up to 1,590 pounds in select configurations. Trailer Sway Control comes standard on SV and PRO grades, helping support drivers who tow small trailers, equipment, boats, or weekend gear. The Frontier also keeps the truck lineup easy to understand, with S, SV, PRO-X, and PRO-4X grades, plus packages like Sport Edition, Dark Armor, and PRO-4X R for buyers who want a more specific personality. That clarity is refreshing. The Frontier does not feel like it is trying to become everything at once. Safety and Connectivity Keep the Frontier Current Simple does not mean bare-bones. Every 2027 Nissan Frontier includes standard driver-assistance features like Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Intelligent Driver Alertness, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Sonar System, Rear Automatic Braking, High Beam Assist, and Intelligent Cruise Control. Inside, Frontier offers a standard 8-inch touchscreen, an available 12.3-inch touchscreen on SV and PRO grades, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ on SV and PRO grades, and up to four USB ports. That mix makes sense for the Frontier Sport Edition buyer. Keep the truck straightforward, but do not make it feel dated. Why the Frontier Sport Edition Feels Right for This Moment The 2027 Nissan Frontier Sport Edition arrives at a time when many trucks seem determined to become luxury vehicles first and pickups second. That is exactly why this one stands out. It has a naturally aspirated V6, a useful midsize footprint, all-terrain tires, rugged styling, practical towing capability, and enough personality to feel different from the standard SV. It gives truck buyers something that feels honest, useful, and ready to be personalized. Pricing will be announced closer to the 2027 Frontier’s arrival at dealerships later this summer. Drivers near Swarthmore, Philadelphia, Media, Drexel Hill, and Wilmington can contact Loughead Nissan at 755 S. Chester Rd, Rt 320, Swarthmore, PA 19081 to start the conversation. Some trucks try to impress people with complexity. The Frontier Sport Edition feels more interested in being the kind of truck people actually want to use.
