The 13th annual Active Lifestyle Vehicle Awards (AVL) were recently held in Chandler, Arizona where 50 judges evaluated a variety of vehicles to determine the top winners in each category and two different Nissan models took home the top prize in their respective categories. The Armada was named the winner in the “Luxury Family” category while the TITAN was named the winner in the “Extreme Off-Road” category.
“Nissan trucks and SUVs are designed to be ‘adventure ready,’ whether tackling a challenging off-road trail or just loaded up with recreational equipment to take the family to a trailhead or lake,” said Fred Diaz, division vice president and general manager, North America Trucks and Light Commercial Vehicles, Nissan North America, Inc. “We’re honored by the latest recognition by this independent group of active lifestyle media and enthusiasts.”
The 50 judges that evaluated the vehicles and determined the winners were a combination of athletically-focused consumers, local media, and national automotive writers. Each of the vehicles were evaluated by their performances on, on-and off-road courses to determine which ones were most ideal for someone with an active lifestyle.
