Nissan has been at the forefront of Autonomous Driving technology for quite some time now. They have made some impressive advances in this field, especially with the development of their flagship autonomous driving technology ProPILOT. This innovative technology will help to shape the future of driving as automakers continue to look for more ways to incorporate Intelligent Mobility into the development of the vehicles in their lineup.

Earlier this year, the brand introduced the Intelligent parking Chair which was designed for offices. These chairs have the technology to automatically return to their original spot once the person using the chair leaves their seat. Now, they have introduced the new ProPILOT Chair which was inspired by Nissan’s ProPILOT Technology. The technology was originally designed for autonomous driving as it tracks the distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you in order to constantly maintain the proper driving distance as it pilots the vehicle or you. Now, they have included this same idea into a chair that will take the standing out of waiting in line.

These ProPILOT Chairs are autonomous and are designed predominantly for situations where people would be standing in long lines. The chairs use the technology to detect the distance between them and the chair ahead of them in order to keep you moving forward in the line while you sit down and relax while you wait. Learn more about these new chairs in the video below:
