Loughead Nissan

The 2016 Nissan Frontier has earned the top spot in the mid-size truck segment in the J.D. Power 2016 Initial Quality Study. This annual study was conducted from February through May of this year, during which, owners and lessees of new vehicles were asked to complete a survey that measured their satisfaction with their new vehicles after the first 90 days. More than 80,000 new owners participated in this year’s survey which included 233 questions broken up into eight different categories.

“Earning the top spot among vehicles in the extremely competitive mid-size truck segment is an immense point of pride for us,” said Dan Mohnke, vice president, Chief Marketing Manager and Marketing Operations, Nissan North America, Inc. “For our brand to jump 10 spots in the industry is an amazing feat. This recognition is a testament to the incredibly skilled men and women at our manufacturing and engineering facilities around the world.”

In addition to the Frontier being named as the top model in its segment the Nissan brand’s overall spot on the list improved by ten points placing it in 10th place overall and 6th place amongst non-premium brands.
