J.D. Power recently presented their awards following the results of their 2016 U.S. Tech Experience Index (TXI) Study™. This study measures the overall experience that owners have with their vehicle during 90 days while utilizing the driver-centric vehicle technologies”. The technologies that the study focuses on the most include entertainment and connectivity, collision protection, smartphone mirroring, comfort and convenience, navigation, and driving assistance. Thanks to its impressive lineup of available technologies, the 2016 Nissan Maxima earned top honors in the large car category.

(NNA). “Nissan places usability, as well as safety and security of vehicle owners and their passengers as a top priority, and this award certainly reflects that mindset. Thank you to J.D. Power for this recognition.”

Take On Winter With The 2017 Nissan Rogue
Winter is here in full force and that means that the roads we travel on each day are going to become much more treacherous and unpredictable. This snowman army represents many of the unexpected hazards that the winter elements can (literally) throw at you while you are driving. Yet, thanks to the easy maneuverability of this model and the technologies it is equipped with, the driver is able to navigate his way through this unexpected issue.

The Top Safety Pick and Top Safety Pick+ awards from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) have been presented and three Nissan vehicles have earned the highest-possible Pick+ rating. With the new rating system, all three vehicles had to earn a “Good” rating in the overlap front, moderate overlap front, side and roof strength IIHS crash tests; offer a front crash prevention system that earns an “Advanced” or “Superior” rating; and earn an “Acceptable” or better rating for headlight visibility. The three models that earned this rating were the 2017 Nissan Altima, Maxima, and Rogue.
“Nissan is proud to have many of our North American-built vehicles recognized by IIHS for vehicle safety,” said Michael Bunce, vice president, Product Strategy and Planning, Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA). “As a full-line manufacturer, Nissan places the safety and security of Nissan vehicle owners and their passengers as its top priority. Considering that 85-percent of the vehicles we sell in the U.S. are assembled in North America, we are gratified to see the company’s long-term investment in safety yielding results in these key vehicles receiving high marks from IIHS.”

Ever wondered just how effective the Nissan Intelligent Around View Monitor (AVM) system is at helping drivers to navigate. Well, the brand put the capabilities of this system to the test in an attempt to set a new world record for the first-ever “blind” J-turn. For this stunt, Nissan used the all-new JUKE and the talents of stunt driver Paul Swift and presented him with the challenge of completing a full 180-degree J-turn with all of the JUKE’s windows completely blacked out. This meant that he would only be able to use the AVM system to help him see where he was going in order to successfully complete the turn while remaining inside the preset boundaries that were only 18cm (7 inches) longer than JUKE.
“This stunt is the perfect demonstration of the Nissan brand promise – Innovation that Excites,” said Stewart Callegari, general manager for Advanced Planning, Nissan Europe. “That promise is all about developing technology to make drivers’ lives simpler and safer, and Around View Monitor does just that.”

Nissan Releases “Fan-Fueled Traditions” Video Series
College football is a world that is full of passion and tradition in the players, coaches, but mostly, in the fans. Fans are what fuel sports and the passion and excitement that they bring to each game creates an energy that is felt throughout the stadium and the players on the field.
