The 13th annual Active Lifestyle Vehicle Awards (AVL) were recently held in Chandler, Arizona where 50 judges evaluated a variety of vehicles to determine the top winners in each category and two different Nissan models took home the top prize in their respective categories. The Armada was named the winner in the “Luxury Family” category while the TITAN was named the winner in the “Extreme Off-Road” category.
“Nissan trucks and SUVs are designed to be ‘adventure ready,’ whether tackling a challenging off-road trail or just loaded up with recreational equipment to take the family to a trailhead or lake,” said Fred Diaz, division vice president and general manager, North America Trucks and Light Commercial Vehicles, Nissan North America, Inc. “We’re honored by the latest recognition by this independent group of active lifestyle media and enthusiasts.”
The 50 judges that evaluated the vehicles and determined the winners were a combination of athletically-focused consumers, local media, and national automotive writers. Each of the vehicles were evaluated by their performances on, on-and off-road courses to determine which ones were most ideal for someone with an active lifestyle.

Nissan Releases Video Series Overviewing 2017 Rogue
When Nissan released the completely redesigned look of the second-generation Rogue for the 2014 model year, people everywhere were blown away with the upgraded style and features that this all-new version now came equipped with. When designing the 2017 Rogue, the brand looked to once again take the design and performance of this model to the next level with a variety of upgraded that were sure to impress car buyers everywhere.

Nissan Continues Impressive Brand Growth
Nissan sales have been on the rise for the last few years and now, Interbrand has reported that they are the 4th fastest growing brand in the world! With a value of more than $1 billion this Nissan has not only landed a place on Interbrand’s prestigious 100 Best Global Brands list for the fifth year in a row but it has moved up in the ranks. Nissan had already made it to the top half of the list last year when they claimed the number 49 spot, but this year they have jumped up other six spots to land in the 43rd spot.

2016 Nissan Murano Wins Midsize SUV Challenge
Cars.com and MotorWeek recently put five vehicles up against each other for their “Midsize SUV Challenge” and the 2016 Nissan Muran emerged as the victor beating out top competitors that included the 2016 Ford Edge, 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2016 Kia Sorento, and 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. Each of the vehicles were evaluated by testers through an in-depth process that included testing on a set course, testing by an in-market family, and real world fuel economy documentation.

Nissan Division Sets New September Sales Record
The Nissan Division has released their sales results for September which show a 4.3 percent increase over sales from September 2015, setting a new record for the month. This year’s total came to 116,384 units for the month and the total for the first nine months of the year came to 1,086,249 units, up 5.8 percent from last year.
The Rogue and Altima led sales for September with Rogue sales topping off the month with a record-setting total of 26,459 units (up 5.6 percent) and Altima sales reaching 25,031 units (up 3.3 percent). The Murano also achieved record-breaking September results with 7,536 units sold (up 46 percent).
More September Results:
- Frontier sales were up 64.5 percent to reach 7,596 units
- Maxima sales were up 69.7 percent to reach 6,569 units
- Sentra sales came to 13,670 units
- LEAF sales were up 5.5 percent to reach 1,316 units
- 370Z sales came to 513 units
- TITAN sales were up 136.4 percent to reach 2,484 units
- Pathfinder sales were up 29.4 percent to reach 8,028 units
- Armada sales were up 103.6 percent to reach 1,712 units
